Shift leader, Restaurant​/Food Service

We’re looking for a Shift Leader to oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional customer experiences, and maintain restaurant standards at El Pollo Loco, Inc.

$21.25/hr – $23.25/hr

Oversee daily restaurant operations during assigned shifts and in the absence of the General Manager or Assistant Manager, ensuring exceptional customer experiences and adherence to company standards.

• Manage opening and closing procedures, including security protocols and crew coordination.
• Oversee food preparation, inventory checks, and delivery accuracy.
• Maintain customer service metrics and restaurant cleanliness per health standards.
• Ensure compliance with safety practices and Quality, Service, Cleanliness (QSC) standards.
• Prioritize shift staffing, monitor food production, and adjust as needed.
• Train and coach team members on new products and operational procedures.
• Handle cash registers, phone calls, catering orders, deposits, and audits.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and address guest needs.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.

• High school diploma or GED; preferred 1+ year of restaurant supervisory experience.
• Certified on all EPL SPECS positions or pass the EPL Food Safety Audit (FSA) class after hire.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
