    Hours:

    Teach 1–5 classes per week, weekday afternoons 2:00 PM–5:00 PM
  • Travel Compensation:
    Mileage reimbursement for rides over 15 miles one way
What You’ll Do
  • Lead fun, interactive chess classes for 10–15 elementary students
  • Use our structured curriculum to teach chess fundamentals and promote sportsmanship
  • Manage a lively classroom with confidence and positivity
  • Encourage problem‑solving, creativity, and critical thinking
  • Follow school safety protocols and supervise during arrival, dismissal, and in‑class activities
  • Travel to various local school sites and arrive on time, prepared, and ready to engage students
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience working with children (teaching, tutoring, coaching, camp counseling, or similar)
  • Comfort leading a class independently and creating interactive, friendly, fun sessions
  • Professional, positive, kid‑friendly demeanor
  • Strong grasp of chess fundamentals and ability to explain concepts age‑appropriately
  • Ability to connect chess problem‑solving to real‑life problem‑solving
  • Reliable personal transportation and ability to drive between locations
  • Availability weekday afternoons 2:00 PM–5:00 PM, capable of teaching 1–5 classes per week
  • Commitment to implementing school safety protocols with strict adherence to policies
  • Strong punctuality and time‑management skills

  • Required questionnaire covering interest, experience, and qualification to teach chess
