Postdoctoral Research Associate - Microbiology (Seattle, WA)

IEH Laboratories, a Leader in Food Safety, is now accepting applications for Postdoctoral Research Associate positions at its facility in Seattle, WA. This position will work as part of the R&D team performing a variety of projects in food science and food microbiology.

• A PhD degree in Food Microbiology, Food Science, or a related field (required)
• Passion for food microbiology and food science and willingness to do their best to help our clients on their requested projects
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Highly motivated and proactive with strong attention to detail
• Strong understanding of aseptic technique in the laboratory

The pay range for this position is $78,000 - $80,000 annually (DOE). This is a full-time position eligible for the following benefits after a brief waiting period: medical, dental, vision, life/AD&D insurance, long- and short-term disability insurance, 401(k), health and dependent care FSA plans, employee assistance program, 15 days of paid time off per year for sick leave and/or vacation, 3 days paid bereavement leave, and 6 paid holidays per year.

Occasional weekend work, extended hours, and/or presence in the lab outside of the normal schedule are sometimes required. This position may require occasional travel assignments depending on project needs.
