Responsibilities- Oversee all technical operations related to plastic injection molding, including process optimization, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Manage a team responsible for the development, qualification, and successful implementation of manufacturing processes and equipment on the production floor.
- Lead and implement operational excellence and continuous improvement projects.
- Create strategy for the team and provide tactical guidance to meet set budget and goals.
- Coaching the team on Lean tools and Six Sigma problem‑solving methodologies to use data for solving complex problems.
- Influence decisions by fostering a positive working relationship with all extended team members including Maintenance, New Product Development, Tooling, and R&D teams.
- Analyze new product/process hand‑off and negotiate a path forward when new products/processes don’t meet requirements.
- Prioritize multiple projects in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
- Develop a 3‑5 year vision for the team by working with cross‑functional leadership.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- 5+ years of management experience in plastic injection molding, mold making, and toolmaking.
- RJG Master Molder certification or equivalent is a must.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- 5+ years of experience managing Budget (Cap Ex, OpEx).
- 3+ years of Automation exposure/experience.
- Experience using LEAN Six Sigma tools.
- Ability to coach and work with teams undertaking Continuous Improvement activities.
- Master’s Degree
- Bilingual – English / Spanish
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
- CNC machine experience
- AutoCAD
- Plastic Injection molding/extrusion experience
