Tax Manager

Job Overview

Small CPA firm seeks a Tax Manager who will eventually become a Partner or Director. Salary ranges from $100,000 to $150,000 per year. The firm specializes in business and tax consulting, helping companies grow while minimizing individual tax liabilities.

• Prepare complex tax returns and perform tax research.
• Respond to tax notices from taxing authorities.
• Review client‑supplied tax information and meet with clients regarding general or complex tax questions.
• Recognize, anticipate, and resolve tax issues and make recommendations.
• Adapt to the company’s practices, policies, and culture.

3–5 years of prior experience.

• CPA certified or CPA candidacy preferred.
• Strong organization, problem‑solving, and analytical skills.
• Diligent work ethic and dedication to providing superior client service.
• Excellent communication skills – oral, written, and interpersonal – with the ability to convey information clearly to upper‑level team members and clients.
• Strong client engagement skills.
• Proficiency in corporate, partnership, and individual tax planning and compliance.
