Kawasaki Motors Retail Finance is seeking a dedicated and experienced Credit Analyst to join our team. This role is integral to the setup and success of our underwriting operations. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Underwriting Manager to establish and streamline underwriting processes and ensure efficient and effective operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing and implementing underwriting policies and procedures.
• Evaluate and analyze credit applications to determine risk and approve or decline applications accordingly.
• Communicate with Funding Associate, Credit Analysts and Dealer Partners to resolve issues and obtain additional information when necessary.
• Collaborate with the Underwriting Manager to set up the business and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Utilize Microsoft Office and Loan Origination Systems (LOS) to process and manage loan applications.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all underwriting decisions and documentation.
• Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve departmental goals.
• Provide excellent customer service and support to dealers and customers regarding financing options.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma, associate degree or equivalent in Finance, Business, or related field Previous experience in underwriting is mandatory
• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience is recommended.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Remain current on lending regulations and guidelines
• Familiarity with Loan Origination Systems (LOS).
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
• Research and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Act as a resource for dealer and staff questions regarding the KMRF’s loan programs
• Working knowledge of financial services regulations together with all internal policies and procedures.
• Working knowledge of various loan structures, payment schedules, amortizations, interest rates
• Prepare monthly production reports and provide information to manager
• Basic understanding of financial information and lending regulations.
• Ability to work 100% on-site at our Foothill Ranch, CA office.

Profile Differentiators:

• Experience in founding, co-founding or working in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Experience in Powersports Finance Industry (motorcycle, ATVs UTVs, PWCs)
• Experience in a Fin Tech startup.
• Advanced Professional degree

Hourly Range:

$25.00/hr.

- $35.00/hr., based on experience and qualifications.
