• Evaluate trends and build strategies to improve the health and growth of the campus, addressing unchurched/dechurched outreach, salvations, baptisms, membership, spiritual maturity, ministry involvement, mission, small groups, discipleship classes, and all key areas of church health.
• Serve as the vision caster for the campus, aligning with Saddleback’s macro‑vision, core ministry models, signature ministries, branding, doctrine, and video teaching while developing a distinct community vision.
• Care for the congregation through counseling, prayer, hospital visits, communion, baptisms, weddings, funerals, and pastoral presence at services and special events.
• Engage relationally by meeting new people, learning their stories, building connections, and guiding them toward the next step in their spiritual journey.
• Build and develop an effective staff team, leading hiring, providing spiritual care, skill development, and empowerment.
• Champion ministry mobilization by recruiting and encouraging participation, opening doors for volunteer involvement.
• Oversee the annual budgeting process, financial oversight, staff budget management, cost control, and payroll changes.
• Manage time‑sheet approvals and payroll modifications.

• Led a local church or large ministry with multiple components.
• Built healthy and growing ministries.
• Communicated dynamically from the stage.
• Developed leaders across varied ministries.
• Supervised staff at all levels.
• Demonstrated continuous learning through university and seminary courses.
• Serves as a servant‑by‑example leader, mobilizing volunteers and staff, engaging large groups, and extending care.

Saddleback Church’s pay philosophy is based on internal and external data for pay equity, along with budgetary considerations for effective stewardship. Pay will be within the range of $85,000.00 - $90,000.00 annually, tailored to the candidate’s qualifications and experience. The posted wage range is not a guarantee of a specific wage for a job offer.
