Treatment Nurse, LVN

Freedom Village Healthcare Center has an immediate opening for a Treatment Nurse to join our team! New grads welcome!

Current license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse or Registered Nurse in California. Current CPR. Two plus years of experience as a Treatment Nurse.

Clinical skills, bedside manner, infection control, nursing skills, physiological knowledge, administering medication, medical teamwork, multi‑tasking, listening, verbal communication, health promotion and maintenance.

Assess the total needs of the resident and develop nursing care plans to meet these needs which include recognition of emotional, social and cultural factors, encouragement of self‑respect and self‑esteem, guidance toward rational and socially acceptable behavior and implementation of restorative nursing care measures.

Maintains acceptable standards of nursing practice with compliance of mandatory standards established by Freedom Village.

Prepares, administers, and charts medications according to the physician’s order and schedule as directed by the procedure manuals, state regulations (Title 22, OBRA) and reports to physician as needed.

Responsible for interpretation and execution of the physician's orders.

Makes decisions in emergency situations and practices first aid measures. Follows policy and procedures for safety, resident rights, reporting requirements, and emergency situations such as fire and earthquakes.

Responsible for accurate observations, evaluations and reporting of resident’s symptoms, reactions and progress to the Director of Nursing, Administrator and others participating in care and treatment of the resident.

Responsible for daily assignments of nursing personnel in assigned areas and ascertains that each is aware of new and/or special orders for the residents.

Assists nursing personnel with difficult treatments and emergencies.

Provides direct nursing care to critically ill residents and administers special treatments as needed.

Uses individualized nursing measures to alleviate resident discomfort.

Prepares residents for, and assists with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, treatments, and examinations.

Schedule:

Salary: $41.00 - $44.00 per hour DOE
