Assistant Professor of Business (June 25, 2025)
The Department of Economics, Business, and Finance at Lake Forest College invites applications for a tenure‑track Assistant Professor of Business beginning Fall 2026. This role calls for a candidate with deep expertise in business analytics who can bring a data‑driven approach across the business curriculum.
Responsibilities and Expectations- Prepare and teach courses such as business analytics and business information systems, and contribute to the department’s core curriculum, potentially including courses in management and/or marketing.
- Develop a research agenda leading to peer‑reviewed publications and mentor students in research.
- Engage in interdisciplinary programs within and outside the department.
- Maintain a 3‑3 teaching load with typically four annual preparations, and participate in a fully funded, one‑semester junior research sabbatical after a successful third‑year review.
- Ph.D. (or ABD acceptable if conferred prior to the 2026‑27 academic year) in Business Administration, Management, Business Analytics, Operations and Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, or related fields.
- Strong background in business analytics with a data‑driven mindset.
- Experience teaching in a liberal arts setting and a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
