This is a part-time position at 20 hours per week located at Lake Forest Hospital. The schedule is 2-10 hour shifts every Saturday and Sunday with holiday and on-call rotation required.

• Ensure all exams are ordered correctly in HIS/RIS, charged and tracked accurately.
• Position and immobilize patients on the examining table.
• Enter data such as the anatomical area to be radiographed and select the proper technique.
• Communicate with patients before, during, and after procedures to obtain history, explain risks, and ensure safety and comfort.
• View images on the display to assess quality; produce radiographs.
• Obtain "wet reads" from radiologists.
• Assist in the reception area and handle related tasks as needed.
• Burn CDs and produce film copies when requested.
• Maintain and clean work area and equipment; prioritize urgent exams.
• Replenish supplies and stock rooms as needed.

Required:

• ARRT, IEMA
• 2 to 3 years of undergraduate education or equivalent
• Thorough working knowledge of practices in a specialized field
• One year or less of related work experience preferred, familiar with routines and procedures

Physical Demands: Lift/carry up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 50 pounds.
