this is a part time position at 24 hours per week located at lake forest hospital. This role is a part of the weekend program and offers premium pay on top of base pay. Schedule for this role is 2 12-hour shifts on saturday and sunday - 12:00pm to 12:30am. Holidays required when applicable.

ct technologist weekend reflects the mission, vision, and values of nm, adheres to the organization’s code of ethics and corporate compliance program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.

responsibilities
  • positions and immobilizes patient on examining table.
  • administers contrast media oral and/or iv contrast in accordance with department policies and procedures, patient history indicators, exam protocols and physician orders and follows through with post exam instructions.
  • enters data such as type of scan, slice thickness, scan time and other technical data into computer.
  • communicates with patient before and during procedure; monitors safety, comfort.
  • views images of organs or tissue on video display screen to ensure quality of pictures; produces radiographs.
  • performs ct equipment qa and maintains required logs.
  • performs clerical tasks such as receiving orders, scheduling patients, and recordkeeping.
  • maintains and cleans work area and equipment; replenishes supplies as needed.
qualifications

required:

  • arrt
  • iema division of nuclear safety
  • bls through american heart association
  • 2 to 3 years of undergraduate education or equivalent

preferred:

  • arrt registry in ct or mri
  • 1 year experience
