Radiologic Technologist

Location: Lake Forest, IL |
Schedule: Full-time, on-site, Monday-Friday 8-hour shifts |
Compensation: 55-65hr ($55,000-$65,000 range)

A healthcare facility serving the Lake Forest, IL area is seeking a contract Radiologic Technologist to perform general x-rays supporting Rheumatology, Orthopedics, and Spine patients. This role is essential to ensuring accurate, safe, and timely diagnostic imaging for patients across all age groups.

• Position patients and equipment and select appropriate technical factors to produce radiographic images meeting Radiologist standards in a safe, timely manner
• Perform scans on patients of all ages, adapting protocols as necessary
• Minimize radiation exposure to patients, families, and co-workers
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, hospital staff, nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
• Analyze and assess data, techniques, methodology, equipment operation, and quality control to ensure accurate information
• Perform other duties as assigned

• High School Grad or Equiv
• 1+ years experience
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS)
• Registered Technologist – Radiography RT(R) (ARRT)
• IEMA
• Up-to-date knowledge of patient positioning and equipment operations, including x-ray producing equipment, if applicable per facility
• Ability to fully use all Radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment
• Ability to analyze and assess data, techniques, methodology, equipment operation, and quality control
• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the health care industry
• Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff
• Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office

• Associate degree
• Bachelor's degree
