Sr. Talent Acquisition Consultant

W.W. Grainger is hiring a Sr. Talent Acquisition Consultant to support full-cycle recruiting efforts across open requisitions. In this hybrid role based in Lake Forest, IL, you will partner closely with Hiring Managers and Human Resource Business Partners to deliver timely hiring outcomes aligned to time-to-fill goals.

Reporting into the recruiting function, the Senior Talent Acquisition Consultant will manage end-to-end search activities, from intake and market guidance through candidate sourcing, negotiation, and closing. You will also contribute to talent pipeline growth through direct sourcing, networking, and partnership with diversity and specialty groups.

• Lead intake conversations with Hiring Managers and provide consulting on job market conditions, interview process, and hiring approach.
• Develop a tailored search strategy with Hiring Managers, including target candidate profiles, job postings, and social media marketing.
• Create candidate generation and sourcing plans to support 15-25 requisitions at a given time.
• Help improve recruiting processes by sharing best practices, and new recruiting tools and methodologies with the Talent Acquisition team.
• Grow the talent pipeline through direct sourcing, networking, and building partnerships with diversity and specialty groups.
• Maintain current knowledge of compensation offerings, benefits, salary structures, and long-term incentive plans for potential candidates.
• Negotiate offer packages in competitive situations to help close candidates.

• Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) preferred.
• 5+ years of Talent Acquisition experience, preferably 5+ years as a full-cycle recruiting consultant.
• Expertise in sourcing methods including Linked In Recruiter, social media, networking, and experience with diversity sourcing.
• Knowledge of local regulatory compliance and employment law.
• Ability to build credibility with Hiring Managers and use market knowledge to advise on talent strategy.
• Proficiency using an Applicant Tracking system, common desktop applications, and social media usage.
• Willingness to travel to national Strategic Alliance Job Fairs 1-2 times per year

  USD 85, per year
