OverviewThe Instructional Design Manager is a dynamic and strategic partner who ensures every aspect of our learning portfolio—needs analysis, curriculum design, production of training materials—is delivered with excellence. The role oversees the full instructional design process and owns the delivery and facilitation of high‑impact programs that engage, inspire, and drive measurable performance outcomes.
Responsibilities- Lead the full learning lifecycle—from analysis to development—to build organizational capability and deliver impactful learning experiences.
- Oversee scheduling, communication, and logistics for learning programs, and facilitate sessions on leadership, onboarding, communication, and client experience.
- Contribute directly to instructional design tasks, including writing content, building interactive modules, and aligning with performance objectives.
- Manage and develop direct reports, ensuring clarity, support, and accountability.
- Lead multiple instructional design projects, balancing timelines, priorities, and quality standards.
- Maintain alignment to learning objectives and evaluate program impact using Kirkpatrick’s four levels of evaluation.
- Administer LMS, reporting, vendor relationships, and technology spend to support scalable delivery.
- Partner with People Operations and other teams to ensure alignment and smooth execution.
- Guide visual styling of the LMS and other learning platforms.
- Degree in education, instructional design, training development, or talent management from an accredited university.
- 10+ years of experience in instructional design, course development, corporate training, or post‑secondary education.
- 3‑5 years of direct management experience with direct reports.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating course development capabilities.
- Knowledge of instructional design workflows (e.g., ADDIE) and instructional theories, strategies, and methods.
- Proficiency with e‑learning authoring tools such as Articulate 360 and Captivate, and learning management systems (including SCORM).
- Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects) and ability to oversee asset production for e‑learning modules.
- Skill in delivering structured programs and adapting on‑the‑fly.
- Comfortable consulting with senior leaders, analyzing business needs, and proposing structured solutions.
- Basic knowledge of web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is strongly preferred.
- Salary: $115,000‑$145,000
