Salary range: $34.50 - $55.20 (Hourly Rate)

• Perform a comprehensive assessment on all assigned patients and complete documentation.
• Communicate changes in patient’s condition promptly.
• Utilize nursing diagnoses from assessments to set measurable goals on the plan of care and modify as needed.
• Identify and prioritize patient needs, collaborating with patient, family, and team for planning.
• Assess and plan for discharge, making referrals as appropriate.
• Evaluate response to nursing interventions and adjust care plan.
• Provide discharge instructions, medication reconciliation, and patient portal education.
• Support patient/family spiritual, cultural, and educational needs, applying teach‑back methodology.
• Implement evidence‑based nursing interventions and engage in research or quality improvement projects.
• Ensure safe medication administration, including barcoding, and maintain a safe environment to prevent pressure ulcers, falls, CAUTI, and central line infections.
• Participate in unit huddles, safety facilitation, and quality initiatives.
• Lead and precept staff, oversee support technicians, and resolve conflicts.
• Ensure appropriate order creation in EMR, adhere to charging of supplies, and participate in value‑based initiatives.
• Maintain accurate electronic and paper documentation and utilize available technology systems.
• Attend professional development activities, obtain specialty certifications, and uphold professional practice standards.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license
• Basic Life Support certification

• National certification in specialty area
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to collaborate with others
• Strong analytic abilities
• Associate Degree Nursing acceptable with plan to obtain BSN within three years of first day of employment
