Registered Nurse BSN‑Pain Management Full Time Days

Salary: $34.50 – $55.20 per hour. The hourly rate is based on experience, internal equity and collective bargaining agreements where applicable.

- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document findings.
- Communicate changes in patient condition promptly.
- Develop and modify plans of care with measurable goals.
- Prioritize patient needs and nursing diagnoses.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and health‑care team during care planning and discharge planning.
- Assess patient response to interventions and adjust the care plan accordingly.
- Provide discharge instructions, medication reconciliation, and portal education.
- Support patient/family/spiritual/cultural needs and employ teach‑back and other educational methods.
- Advance evidence‑based practice and participate in quality improvement projects.
- Ensure safe medication administration and barcoding.
- Prevent falls, pressure ulcers, infections, and other patient safety incidents.
- Participate in unit safety meetings and meet quality metrics.
- Lead precepting, unit orientation, and mentoring as required.
- Oversee resource utilization and appropriate supplies charging.
- Use technology such as EMR documentation, Alaris pump guardrails, physiologic monitoring, and bed management systems.
- Engage in professional development activities and obtain relevant certifications.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Active Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license.
- BLS CPR certification.
- National certification in specialty area.
- Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and analytical skills.
- Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) acceptable with commitment to obtain a BSN within three years.
