Food Service Worker

Overview

We are hiring immediately for a full time FOOD SERVICE WORKER position at Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital, 1000 North Westmoreland Road, Lake Forest, IL 60045. Online applications accepted only.

Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 2:00 pm. Pay: $16.50 - $17.00 per hour. Perks include 401K, insurance, paid time off, employee meal plan, and training opportunities.

• Prepares, presents and serves food as needed.
• Performs prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Weighs and measures designated ingredients.
• Carries pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work stations, stove and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards.
• Stores food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety and rotation procedures.
• Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment.
• Utilizes approved recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
• Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner and follows the steps of service.
• Resolves customer concerns and relays information to the supervisor.
• Ensures compliance with service standards, inventory and cash control procedures, and sanitation and safety requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Requirement:
  Previous prep and catering experience is preferred.
• Position requires lifting.
