Talent Manager, HR Manager
Location: Illinois/Wisconsin (Hybrid; must be able to support both Union, IL and Mukwonago, WI locations. Ideal candidate will reside between both sites for optimal commute.)
Position SummaryThe HR Manager will serve as a strategic and hands‑on business partner supporting two manufacturing facilities located in Union, Illinois and Mukwonago, Wisconsin. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources operations, ensuring compliance with applicable federal and state employment laws, and fostering a positive, safe, and inclusive workplace culture. The position requires regular presence at both locations and the flexibility to sit between sites to best support operations.
Key Responsibilities- Administer and coordinate all HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and offboarding.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, Illinois, and Wisconsin employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate employee records, personnel files, and HRIS data.
- Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures aligned with manufacturing operations across both states.
- Advise management on employee relations matters, disciplinary actions, conflict resolution, and workforce planning.
- Oversee payroll processing, benefits administration, and workers’ compensation programs.
- Coordinate safety initiatives and employee training programs in compliance with OSHA and state‑specific requirements.
- Create, update, and maintain employee handbooks.
- Support diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
- Conduct workplace investigations and ensure timely, fair, and professional resolution of employee issues.
- Partner with leadership to support operational and organizational objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Illinois and Wisconsin labor laws and HR best practices.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with Paycor strongly preferred.
- Ability to travel regularly between Illinois and Wisconsin locations.
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
- Salary Range: $100,000–$125,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications
