Job Function:
The Production Manager ensures that manufacturing equipment and tools function properly and safely, while increasing operational efficiencies. Duties include building production schedules, making sure production processes meet budget and deadline constraints, and reviewing the productivity of Brunk’s manufacturing equipment. Responsible for consistently finding ways to improve the organization’s production processes and structures. Manage direct reports and assigned duties as required to complete both internal and external customer requests.

- Ensures customer products are manufactured to meet the highest quality and on-time delivery standards.
- Oversee technical Production areas:
Die Maintenance, Press Room, Production CNC. - Leads the Manufacturing operations in accordance with all employee policies and safety guidelines.
- Manage various personnel functions for technical production staff including, but not limited to, hiring, training, performance evaluation, merit recommendations, promotions, transfers, issuing corrective actions, terminations, and other related duties.
- Collaborate with production and engineering to meet tooling needs, improve die performance, and ensure parts meet quality standards.
- Sustain the production function of ERP System, which includes maintenance, enhancement, and optimization.
- Evaluate machine resources to ensure continued production and minimal downtime
- Establish a balance between increased productivity and reduced costs of manufacturing operations
- Set productivity goals with Technical Production Supervisors for each manufacturing team
- Developing workflow policies and procedures that improve efficiency without compromising safety or quality
- Ensuring adequate scheduling of staff
Required Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong project management and problem-solving skills
- Expert in ERP Systems
- Proven record in training employees about safety and production
- Ability to coach and motivate employees
- Supervisory skills and training.
- Knowledge of Best Practices in Manufacturing including LEAN and die troubleshooting
Education:
- Minimum educational requirements listed below may be substituted by relevant experience, learned competencies and/or certifications obtained throughout one’s career.
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent. Relevant Tool & Die certifications and/or bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, production management, or related field preferred.
- Experience with LEAN, 5S, QMS, ISO, SPC, Team Building
- 3+ years of supervisory and project management experience
- 5+ years of experience in Tool & Die operations and metal stamping operations
- Work is in an office and manufacturing environment with noise and some grinding dust. Perform light lifting
