We’re looking for a Wastewater Superintendent — a leader, innovator, and wastewater wizard — to keep our systems running smoothly, our city sustainable, and our operations compliant, efficient, and future‑ready.

What You’ll Do
  • Manage daily operations of the City’s wastewater treatment facilities and staff.
  • Oversee maintenance, safety, compliance, and performance metrics.
  • Plan for future infrastructure needs.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a skilled team.
  • Work cross‑departmentally on city initiatives and improvement projects.
Ideal Candidate / Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree with coursework in engineering, environmental science, or related field.
  • 6+ years’ experience in wastewater treatment and collection.
  • 3–5 years supervisory experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Possession of Grade IV Wastewater Collection System Operator and Grade IV Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator certifications issued by the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality at hire.
  • Valid driver’s license of appropriate class.

Appointment is subject to a successful background investigation and a City‑paid post‑employment medical examination after offer of employment has been made.
