Lake Havasu City is seeking motivated, professional, and community-minded individuals to join our Police Department as a Police Service Assistant Apprentice. This is a time-limited contract opportunity with a maximum duration of three years.

- Provide administrative and operational support to front-line officers and police staff
- Handle telephone and face-to-face enquiries from the public
- Assist with maintaining accurate records and reports
- Learn how to use police systems and procedures securely and effectively
- Support community policing and crime prevention efforts
- A genuine interest in policing, community safety, and public service
- Has or currently participates in a Police Explorer or Cadet program that is interested in future law enforcement
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism
- High School diploma or GED
- Interest in law enforcement
- 18+ years of age at the time of application
- Coursework in criminal justice preferred
- Valid driver license required
- Meet the objectives outlined in the training procedural manual for the apprenticeship program within the set timeframe
- Ability to pass an extensive background investigation
- Valid Driver’s License of the appropriate class
