Howyou’ll contribute
A Pharmacy Coordinator who excels in this role:
- Provide clinical support and coordinates all clinical pharmacy activities in the facility in collaboration with physicians, nursing services, and other healthcare professionals to deliver quality and cost-effective drug therapy management to our patients.
- Supervise all clinical pharmacy activities in the department.
- Establish goals and directions for all clinical pharmacy services within departmental and organizational policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Manage drug therapy protocols as a part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Review, interpret, and evaluate medication orders to identify, prevent, and resolve potential or actual drug related problems.
- Provide drug information and education to medical staff, healthcare professionals, pharmacy students, and patients.
- Document intervention and their outcomes for use in drug therapy quality improvement efforts.
- Evaluate medication orders for accuracy and completeness prior to order entry.
- Check for accuracy after filling by technicians.
- Lead the Pharmacy & Therapeutic Committee and Antimicrobial Stewardship Committee.
- Standing member of additional clinical meetings.
- Staff periodically to meet the needs of the department.
- Assists the pharmacy director in managerial tasks.

Applicants should have a doctor of pharmacy. Additional requirements include:
- Current Arizona state pharmacist license required.
- Completion of general or specialized hospital pharmacy residency preferred.
