American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Blended ICU/CVICU position requiring prior travel experience and AHA certifications.

• Blended ICU/CVICU unit within a 171-bed Joint Commission accredited community hospital and regional referral center
• Level III Trauma Center and Certified Chest Pain Center
• 16-bed unit with adult and geriatric patient population
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Common diagnoses include STEMI, NSTEMI, COPD exacerbation, sepsis, CABG, valve repair/replacement, acute respiratory failure, A-Fib RVR, ETOH withdrawal, head injury, overdose, stroke, trauma, CRRT, TCAR and TVAR
• Uses Baxter pumps for infusion management
• Charting performed in Medhost EHR
• 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Weekend rotation required every other weekend
• Call requirements apply
• Floating required to Intermediate Care Unit as primary RN and to ED holding for admitted patients on an as-needed basis

• Active AZ or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications (AHA certifications required)
• Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU/ICU experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required

• Provide critical care nursing to a blended ICU/CVICU patient population with complex cardiac and medical conditions
• Weekly orientation provided
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be eligible for the travel rate
• Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time
• First-time travelers are not being considered for this role due to required travel experience
