American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Telemetry RN with 2+ years of experience and AZ or compact RN license for a 13-week travel assignment at a Level 3 trauma community hospital.

• Medical Surgical Telemetry unit in a 171-bed Joint Commission accredited community hospital and regional referral center
• Level 3 Trauma Center and Certified Chest Pain Center
• Adult and geriatric patient population including total joint, surgical, ACS, CHF, CKD, alcohol withdrawal, SIRS, and GIB patients
• 40-bed unit with a 1:6 patient ratio
• 3x12 shift schedule from 7A-7P with every other weekend required
• Floating to IMC and ED expected
• No scheduled on-call, though flexing to on-call shifts may occur up to twice during the contract
• Uses Baxter IV pumps, Posey bed/chair alarms, Omnicell drug dispensing cabinets, and Zoll defibrillators
• Medhost EHR used

• Active RN license (AZ or Compact) required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• ADN required
• Recent acute care and telemetry experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Ability to manage a 1:6 patient ratio required
• Preceptor and charge experience a plus

• Provide direct patient care for a diverse Med/Surg Telemetry population with acute and chronic conditions
• Compassionate, positive, can-do attitude valued
• Black scrubs (top and bottom) required; open-toe shoes not permitted
• Weekly orientation provided
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify for the travel rate
• Local candidates within 60 miles may be considered at the local rate
• Must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full-time during the assignment
