Havasu Regional Medical Center — Lake Havasu City, AZ
Havasu Regional is the main hospital for Arizona's western Colorado River corner — a 171-bed community and regional referral center in Lake Havasu City, where RNs carry a broad medical-surgical, emergency, cardiac, and surgical load far from the nearest larger facility.
- A Level III trauma center verified by both the State of Arizona and the American College of Surgeons, with an on-site helipad and an Advanced Life Support base — the most severe cases are stabilized and flown to Phoenix or Las Vegas, so ED and ICU nurses stabilize trauma, cardiac, and critical patients before transfer when needed.
- A Cardiac Receiving Center built around the Havasu Heart & Vascular Center and Arizona's first ACC-accredited cath lab, giving cardiac and telemetry nurses exposure to chest-pain, catheterization, and cardiovascular cases.
- A Joint Commission Center of Excellence for total knee, shoulder, and hip replacement — a defined joint-replacement program for ortho and surgical nurses.
- An Arizona Perinatal Trust–certified labor-and-delivery program, plus oncology, wound care, and a skilled-nursing unit for broad generalist exposure.
- A regional referral center for Mohave and northern La Paz counties, with 31 specialties and full-time emergency physicians on duty around the clock.
