Description Industrial Fabricator
Location:
Lake in the Hills, IL
Compensation: $17.40/hr
AFC is seeking an Industrial Fabricator to join our team. The Industrial Fabricator will be responsible for converting raw materials into finished products for conveyor belts or custom products for select industries. The ideal candidate will have experience operating heat sealers, hand sealers, lacing machines, and other tools to create high-quality products according to customer specifications.
What You'll Do- Operate heat sealer, hand sealer, lacing machine, and other tools to convert raw materials into finished products.
- Cut material to correct lengths by reading and interpreting work orders, making corrections to work orders as needed.
- Hand stitch, iron, and create belts from raw materials according to customer specifications in a job shop environment.
- Place correct end and lacing to belt.
- Fabricate other parts other than belting.
- Roll, tape, and apply correct pins to belt.
- Read orders and carry out essential functions of the job with accuracy and attention to detail.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of ERP system a plus.
