Larson Contracting Central LLC is seeking a knowledgeable and driven Steel Foreman to oversee steel erection operations on commercial construction sites. This leadership role is ideal for someone with deep technical expertise in steel work, excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to safety and quality. You’ll be responsible for managing a steel crew, coordinating material needs, ensuring safety compliance, and executing project plans on time and within scope.
Projects are typically within 1.5 hours of our shop, keeping you close to home while making a big impact.

Key Responsibilities- Lead and supervise a crew of steel workers on commercial job sites.
- Read and interpret blueprints and project plans to execute steel erection tasks accurately.
- Oversee installation of steel components including beams, columns, trusses, and decking.
- Coordinate use of cranes and hoisting equipment for material handling.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and ensure crew compliance with OSHA and company regulations.
- Provide training, mentoring, and direction to less experienced crew members.
- Track and report daily progress; communicate updates with project managers.
- Estimate and manage material needs; coordinate timely deliveries.
- Identify and resolve field issues and implement effective solutions to maintain productivity.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in steel erection or structural steel work.
- Strong leadership and crew management skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints.
- Deep understanding of steel erection techniques and jobsite safety procedures.
- Comfortable using cranes, hoists, and rigging equipment.
- Excellent problem‑solving and communication abilities.
- Experience estimating material needs and managing deliveries.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- OSHA 30 certification or similar safety credentials preferred.

Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend overtime as needed.
