KEY Home Furnishings is hiring a Customer Service Purchase Order Assistant to join our team in Lake Oswego, Oregon

Key Details:
  • Pay: $22-$25 per hour, depending on experience

  • Location: Warehouse Office, 7895 SW Hunziker, Tigard, OR
  • Schedule: Full-time, Monday – Friday, 7am – 3pm

Who You Are :

You're highly organized, detail-oriented, and genuinely enjoy helping people. You're able to balance multiple priorities, stay on top of follow-up, and communicate professionally with customers, manufacturers, and team members alike.

You understand the importance of keeping customers informed, meeting deadlines, and maintaining accurate records. You're comfortable working independently but also enjoy being part of a collaborative team that depends on one another.

Most importantly, you're reliable. You show up consistently, take pride in your work, and understand that communication and accountability are essential to success.

Additional qualifications include:

  • Customer Service

    Experience:

    At least 2 years of customer service or front office experience required
  • Communication

    Skills:

    Strong verbal and written communication skills, especially over the phone and via email
  • Organization: Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple moving parts simultaneously
  • Problem Solving: Resourceful, empathetic, and able to assess situations and identify solutions
  • Technical

    Skills:

    Comfortable learning and using CRM systems, order management platforms, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace (we use Odoo, Zoho CRM + Desk, Front, and Podium)
  • Typing

    Skills:

    50+ words per minute preferred
  • Teamwork: Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 25 lbs. independently and move around the warehouse comfortably
What You'll Do:

You'll serve as a key member of our customer service department, helping customers receive the parts, service, and communication they need after their purchase.

A typical day will consist of:

  • Responding to customer emails, calls, and service inquiries.
  • Managing customer service cases from start to finish.
  • Ordering replacement parts and tracking shipments.
  • Monitoring purchase orders and updating estimated arrival dates.
  • Communicating regularly with customers regarding the status of orders and service requests.
  • Coordinating service appointments and follow-up activities.
  • Receiving and inspecting incoming parts for accuracy.
  • Maintaining organized records and customer follow-up schedules.
  • Managing stock, container, and sales-order purchase orders.
  • Working within multiple systems to maintain accurate status updates and documentation.
  • Preparing daily, weekly, and monthly reports as needed.

Although this is an office position, it is located in our warehouse rather than our retail showroom. The environment is less customer-facing and ideal for someone who enjoys focused administrative and operational work while still delivering excellent customer service.
