We are currently looking to hire a new music teacher who is versed in both woodwinds and brass instruments. Applicants do not need to be professional performers, but should have a background in teaching. By teaching, we mean instructing students, building a strong rapport with both a student and/or parent, moving through a pathway for personal growth for a student by using method books, supplementary materials and exploration with personal creation.
Teachers should be able to provide action items for students at each lesson that builds on the musical pathway and growth of the student.
The most popular wind instruments are clarinet, flute, alto sax and tenor sax. If you can teach soprano, baritone, oboe or bassoon, that is helpful, but not needed. In terms of brass, the most popular are trumpet, trombone, french horn and baritone/euphonium. We are looking for teachers who are also versed in piano. If there are any other instruments that applicants are versed in, please provide that in your response to this post or the resume or cover letter.
We want our teachers to grow and expand their personal journey with music as much as our students. We encourage exploration of other instruments so that teachers can grow with us and learn to open their teaching repertoire.
Please apply if you are looking for a home to teach and grow as a musical mentor.
