Compensation range: $101,325 to $180,915 based on our Davis, CA office location. The position may be located at any of our CA or OR office locations.
Key Responsibilities & Functions- Serve as a technical leader in wastewater collection system hydraulic evaluations using commercial hydraulic modeling software (e.g., Infoworks ICM, Aqua Twin Sewer, Sewer Gems).
- Work on projects across California and Oregon.
- Analyze flow, demand, population, water quality, and facility condition data.
- Assess collection system regulatory compliance.
- Develop wastewater collection system capital improvement programs.
- Prepare technical reports and master plans.
- Train and mentor staff on wastewater collection evaluation.
- Serve as project manager directing hydraulic modeling and master planning work of senior level and other staff engineers.
- Provide QA/QC review of work by the wastewater collection system planning team.
- Interact directly with clients and provide excellent client service.
- Assist with marketing activities and proposal development when needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering.
- 8+ years of experience with Wastewater Collection System Planning and Hydraulic Modeling.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with CAD, GIS, Microsoft Access, and hydraulic modeling software (e.g., Info Water Pro).
- PE licensure in the State of California (licensure in other states in which the firm practices may also be considered).
- Master’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to process accurate engineering calculations unaided and prepare reports.
- Proven ability to summarize technical information with appropriate grammar, punctuation, and spelling for concise reader‑friendliness.
- Experience with direct client interaction and proposal writing.
- High proficiency with Info Water PRO; experience with Aquanuity software.
- Commitment to maintaining professional competency through continuing education and professional society meetings.
- Willingness to travel out of office and on evenings/overnight assignments.
- May require travel to other offices and/or client offices.
