Overview

Join WSP in the U.S. as a Structural Drafter, based in Lake Oswego, OR. Work with our Power Delivery Substation Civil/Structural Team to support design projects, providing technical drafting and CADD support under general supervision. WSP is committed to meeting client objectives and solving challenges through collaboration and quality design.

Responsibilities

Generate accurate 2D and 3D CADD designs for substation projects, including plans, sections, details, and material lists. Collect and analyze site data, surveys, and schematic designs to support drafting activities. Verify calculations, design intent, and plan interpretation, escalating issues for resolution. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and adhere to client and WSP standards. Maintain EEO and workplace safety policies and complete required training.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma.
  • Minimum 3 years of drafting and design support experience with AutoCAD and/or Micro Station.
  • Familiar with drafting principles, codes, regulations, and compliance practices.
  • Strong command of English with excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Self‑leadership, attention to detail, multitasking, and independent work under general supervision.
  • Basic proficiency with technical writing, office automation, spreadsheets, and math principles.
  • Track record of workplace safety and compliance with WSP health, safety, and harassment policies.
  • Availability for schedules beyond the typical workweek and occasional travel.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Associate’s Degree in a closely related discipline.
