Job Summary: The X-Ray Tech will be responsible for Radiological services, clinical, and clerical duties as well as preparing patients for continued medical evaluation while working in conjunction with physicians, nurse practitioners, office and clinical staff.
This is a clinical/clerical position IN ADDITION to x-ray. Duties include but are not limited to: patient greeting, answering phones, insurance verification, data entry, obtaining/recording vital signs, assisting with some medical procedures, specimen collection/rapid lab testing, and x-rays. They will also be tasked with preparing patients for continued medical evaluation while working in conjunction with physicians, nurse practitioners, office and clinical staff.
This is a full time position.
MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK SOME WEEKENDS.

- Greeting patients, answering phones, data entry, and insurance verification.
- Preparing patients for radiologic procedures and following established clinical and regulatory procedures in regards to patient safety and care; including proper radiation protection and shielding techniques.
- Greeting incoming patients, performing clerical tasks and correspondence, utilizing electronic medical records system to document patient information.
- Verifying insurance information and benefits and data entry.
- Obtaining and accurately documenting patient vital signs and weight, takes brief history, past medical, family and social history current medications, allergies and other pertinent historical information as appropriate.
- Perform medical procedures and laboratory procedures appropriate for level of training under the direction of a provider.
- Assists other personnel with patient check in/out procedures.
- Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills, is well-organized, and possesses the energy and focus to keep up in the Urgent Care environment.
- Collect specimen samples, including urine samples, and oral/nasopharyngeal samples from patients to perform rapid CLIA waived in-house testing, including but not limited to:
Covid
19, Flu, Strep, RSV, MONO, etc. - Be friendly, courteous and sympathetic when it comes to working with patients
- WE ARE A COVID-19 TESTING FACILITY
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- State and ARRT license to take x-rays in the state of OR or Limited X-ray certification
