Director, Claim Management Outside Property at Travelers
OverviewTravelers has been a leading property casualty insurer for over 170 years. We are seeking a director who will lead national and local claim strategies, ensure claim policies, procedures and service standards are implemented and maintained within the line of business.
CompensationBase salary range: $126,500 - $208,700

Responsibilities- Attract, retain and develop world class talent: account for selection, training, succession and performance management.
- Lead the development of claim service: employ proper claim handling techniques to protect the Travelers brand.
- Drive local claim strategy/execution: communicate and endorse a perpetual improvement mindset.
- Identify business drivers and trends: analyze claim data to inform strategy.
- Work with Business Leadership and Claim Product teams to develop and implement national strategies.
- Provide guidance to Unit Managers and claim professionals through continuous process and claim file review.
- Ensure product quality alignment with Claim Product strategy and claim philosophies.
- Leverage data, management information and technology to support business strategies and improve results.
- Focus on resolution and process improvement while maximizing cost effectiveness.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with business partners, customers, agents, regulatory agencies.
- Represent the Company to strengthen business relations, issues and complaints resolution, and acquisition and retention of profitable business.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Covering, liability and damages analysis; litigation process understanding and relevant case and statutory law.
- Knowledge of marketing, underwriting and account management processes.
- Results orientation.

- 5 years insurance or financial industry experience.
- 2 years managing employees.
- Licensing or certificates as required by state regulation.
- Insurance license(s) as required by state regulation.
