Overview
Mary’s Woods is looking for an experienced Maintenance HVAC Technician who is committed to providing high-quality work and service. The HVAC Technician is responsible for performing general maintenance of the buildings and grounds of Mary’s Woods. As the HVAC Technician, you will contribute to creating a beautiful community for residents and their guests to enjoy. You must be able to relate positively and favorably to staff, residents, and families, and enjoy working on a team.
Responsibilities- Perform repairs and maintenance to equipment including refrigeration, air conditioning, electric motors, heating units, heat pumps, hermetic compressors, light commercial furnaces, boilers, burners, intake and exhaust fans, humidifiers and cooling towers
- Understand basic refrigeration cycle to identify components, diagnose problems, and perform routine maintenance using manifold gauge set, pressure/temperature charts, and temperature measuring devices
- Understand refrigeration recovery, evacuation, and charging
- Assist inspectors and contractors in testing, inspection or repair of equipment, utility/emergency systems and structures
- Perform scheduled maintenance on equipment according to manufacturer’s recommendations and operations manuals
- Perform repairs on water source heat pumps, cooling towers, ice machines, kitchen equipment, and low-pressure boilers
- Perform interior and exterior repairs to buildings, grounds, equipment and systems
- Perform scheduled maintenance checks of buildings, grounds, and facilities
- Demonstrate the ability to perform general maintenance
- Participate in the after-hours on-call schedule and other responses as needed
- Education equivalent to the completion of a high school diploma
- Minimum of two years experience in facilities/HVAC maintenance
- Ability to read blueprints and wiring schematics
- HVAC Certification/EPA Certification
