We are seeking a full‑time Financial Aid Specialist who will serve as the primary contact for the Financial Aid Department, providing assistance to students and parents regarding all types of Federal Financial Aid, State and Scholarship funding, and related financial aid processes.

• Maintain working knowledge of the Federal Student Aid Handbook and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations for administering financial aid.
• Advise prospective and current students on financial aid application procedures, verification procedures, eligibility requirements, institutional policies, and the availability of federal, state, and institutional financial aid.
• Assist students with the documentation necessary to process verification and/or incomplete files needed to determine aid eligibility.
• Perform verification on selected student financial aid files.
• Update Satisfactory Academic Progress on individual students.
• Import ISIR from the Department of Education, manage corrections, and COD records.
• Handle confidential material and communications; adhere to FERPA.
• Run daily financial aid reports.
• Assist at front counter and work with students in person and via telephone.

60 college semester credit hours or 18 months of full‑time related experience and/or training in processing student financial aid at the postsecondary level; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

An associate degree and two years of full‑time experience processing student financial aid at the postsecondary level.
