Adult Education (AEL) Instructor – Project Based – 79900
Join to apply for the Adult Education (AEL) Instructor – Project Based – 79900 role at St. Charles Community College
.
- Instruct adult English language learners in reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
- Work cooperatively with other agencies to prepare students for transition to post‑secondary education or workforce training.
- Plan and conduct group instructional activities to begin and end at posted class times. Prepare materials for volunteers and provide homework for students.
- Plan individual, small group, and large group instructional activities based on individual student needs.
- Document lesson plans and teaching strategies on the Lesson Plan Overview.
- A Bachelor’s degree.
- Adult Education and Literacy certification required; this certification can be provided by SCC for the right candidate.
- Previous adult education/literacy experience preferred.
- Previous ESL teaching experience preferred.
Wednesday evenings 6‑9 pm. Possibility of Monday and Tuesday mornings 9 am to noon.
