Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Northern Regional Facilities Manager, the Facilities Manager is responsible for managing maintenance operations and compliance across assigned OHU locations. The role includes managing and completing maintenance tickets, scheduling and supervising facility modifications, and coordinating vendors, contractors, and regulatory agencies as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage and complete maintenance tickets for sites including Pepper Dr. Hope House, Emergency Shelter in Waukegan, Lake Villa Campus, Guilford Hope House, Zion apartment building, and others as directed.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and guidelines.
- Respond to emergences and outages, arranging repairs.
- Manage facility moves, assist staff, schedule safety checks, and oversee projects.
- Organize relevant documents and serve as primary contact for vendors.
Qualifications
Education:
AA or BA preferred.
Experience:
Minimum five years in facility management or repair.
Other:
Valid driver’s license and acceptable auto insurance coverage.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in maintenance repairs, computer skills, safety assessment, reading plans, communication, time management, and teamwork.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting objects over 100 lbs, working in various environmental conditions, and occasional travel.
