Job Description Summary /Objective

The HR Generalist aids with and facilitates daily HR operations. This role is responsible for administrating policies, programs, and practices covering all aspects of human resources including but not limited to employee relations, recruiting and onboarding, training, benefits and compliance. The HR Generalist acts as a trusted partner to employees and management.

Essential Roles
  • Serve as point of contact for employees’ concerns and inquiries
  • Coach and support supervisors in handling employee relations issues
  • Coordinate full life cycle recruiting to include job posting, screening candidates, managing offers, and onboarding.
  • Ensure fair and consistent application of performance and disciplinary actions
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations
  • Administer health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes, and termination
  • Collaborate with EHS to support a safety culture, manage workers’ compensation claims
  • Assists with full cycle processing of terminations.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Ability to provide comprehensive HR support to many employees across all levels of the organization, from entry-level to senior leadership

  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Regular, reliable attendance is an essential function of the job
Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position requires standing, walking, and bending. The employee will regularly be required to lift and/or move items over 20 pounds. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Education

& Experience

Bachelor's degree in human resources or related fields and/or equivalent experience. At least three (3) years’ related experience required. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a requirement.
