POSITION SUMMARYBody shop techs are responsible for all tractor body damage repairs including but not limited to review of damage and estimate for repairs, painting and installing unit decals as needed. Working with fiberglass and metals to make all necessary repairs to a class 8 truck body
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Reviews damage, creates list of needed items and repairs to tractor to return to service.
- Order all needed supplies through the parts department.
- Prep and paint spare parts for quick exchange on trucks.
- Disassembles and reassembles tractors as needed for repairs
- Keeps a clean and neat work area.
- Disposes of all hazardous material in the correct manner.
- Work with tractor shop techs as needed.
- Ability to paint in a paint booth.
- Ability to work with fiberglass.
- High level of class 8 body education or experience Own all required tools.
- Good written skills with the ability to make estimates
