Professional Geologist I for the Florida Department of Health in Polk County's Petroleum Cleanup Program. Responsibilities include site inspections, document approval, contractor oversight, and compliance with state petroleum restoration regulations.
Key qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in geology, environmental science, or natural sciences from an accredited college or university
- Valid Florida Class E Driver License
- Knowledge of environmental field work, engineering and design principles
- Ability to review detailed technical and analytical data for accuracy
- Skill in computer applications including document preparation and database management
- Ability to work independently and organize, prioritize and schedule tasks
