Repair and Tool Technician

Repair and Tool Technician position at The Home Depot involves evaluating and repairing small engines, outdoor power equipment, and handheld electrical devices. The role requires making equipment recommendations and ensuring units are maintained. Technicians work in stores with Tool Rental Centers and in repair centers. In-store duties include providing service to Tool Rental customers, writing customer contracts and invoices for equipment rental and tool repairs, verifying tool operation, and demonstrating proper use as needed.

Technicians also manage the day-to-day operation and maintenance of equipment in the Tool Rental department. In non-store locations, technicians diagnose and repair units, test repaired units for quality, and clean them before returning to the originating store. A thorough knowledge of all tools and the ability to manage tool inventory by maintaining and repairing tools is required.
