Responsible for providing dispatch and administrative support within the campus safety department. Receives and transmits radio communications, monitors video surveillance systems, and coordinates responses to medical and other emergencies by notifying appropriate personnel. This position may require a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and assignments at other campuses as needed.
What a day of a Campus Safety Dispatcher looks like:- Performs radio dispatch functions, including notifying appropriate parties during emergencies and directing emergency responders to the appropriate areas of the campus.
- Maintains and updates information in the Autotract/DMV system and other departmental databases.
- Assists with staff scheduling and administrative operations.
- Prepares correspondence, maintains citations and call logs,
