ECHO is hiring a 1st Shift Production Assembly Group Lead! The Production Assembly Group Lead will oversee and direct workers engaged in repetitive tasks, ensuring they follow specific instructions and work specifications provided by the Manufacturing Supervisor. They motivate the team to meet production standards, identify and address delays or quality issues, and assist workers in resolving unique challenges. The Group Lead assigns and explains tasks, inspects tools and equipment, and evaluates completed work.

They are responsible for training employees and ensuring the quality and quantity of the final output. Additionally, they maintain a safe work environment and recommend disciplinary actions to the Supervisor when necessary.

1st Shift M-F 6:00am-3:15pm starting at $18.50/HR! This position also qualifies for a yearly bonus!

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Train and motivate assigned workers to always ensure 100% quality.
  • Treat employees with respect while acting in the best interest of the company.
  • Work closely with the supervisor on timecard and attendance issues.
  • Hold the line workers accountable for productivity.
  • Follow proper containment procedures and perform root cause analysis to prevent re-occurrence (work with QC and Mfg. Engineering as required).
  • Hold daily Quality meetings with all employees to ensure employees understand ongoing quality issues and critical emission component ’s.
  • Perform daily quality audits on each line to verify worker performance, proper material control of all components and to ensure all other aspects of the line are in compliance.
  • Verify Bills of Material (BOM's) at each line changeover and at beginning of each shift.
  • Maintain Emission Component  daily.
  • Work with Supervisor and suggest changes to improve Direct Labor Efficiency.
  • Monitor worker performance and “bottleneck” operations throughout theday to ensure a consistent hourly output – work with Supervisor to makepersonnel changes as required.
  • Report and follow-up on any potential safety hazards at the line mustbe proactive to ensure employee safety at all times
  • Responsible for ensuring all components/units are stored properly andthat everything is always labeled and in the proper location.
  • Always maintain the highest level of housekeeping/cleanliness.
  • Perform various other duties and assignments as requested to assist the operation and overall functioning of the department and company.

Job Experience/Skills:

  • 3+ years leading, training, motivating assembly line employees.
  • Bilingual English/ Spanish is a must!
  • Working knowledge of computers and programs including Microsoft Outlook.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
