ECHO Incorporated is an industry leader in developing and manufacturing high-performance, professional-grade, handheld outdoor power equipment. ECHO is hiring a Trainer in our production area. This role trains and develops the skills of production line workers to ensure tasks are performed efficiently and in compliance with quality standards.
Job DetailsLocation:
Lake Zurich, IL (referrals may impact interview likelihood).
Employment type:
Full-time. Shift: 2nd Shift, Monday–Friday, 3:15pm–11:30pm. Starting pay: $17.50 per hour, plus a $1 per hour shift differential, for a total of $18.50 per hour.

- Provide comprehensive training on general manufacturing information, safety protocols, and quality standards.
- Explain special techniques and challenges associated with the production process.
- Illustrate the outcomes and reasons for deviations from established procedures by employees.
- Assist new employees during the initial assembly phase to maintain a smooth flow on the assembly line.
- Monitor the progress of employees from their first day to one week, focusing on building confidence and experience in quality and quantity.
- Conduct weekly evaluations, in collaboration with the Group Leader, for up to three weeks after the employee has started work in assembly line conditions. Final decision on retention as an assembler is made after evaluation.
- Provide training on general assembly procedures, the use of air tools, and assembly fixtures.
- Describe in detail the purpose of each step in the assembly procedure; the trainer may perform the assembly initially while the new employee observes briefly.
- Perform non-training tasks as assigned by the Group Leader to support department and company operations.
- Must be fluent in English and Spanish.
- Basic mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to operate small hand tools and assemble small items.
- Experience in training and mentoring new employees.
