The Supervisor of Special Services/School Psychologist is a full-time, on-site role based in Eastampton, NJ. This role oversees special education services, related programs, and compliance with applicable state and federal regulations, while also providing school psychology services. Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising special services staff, coordinating evaluations, developing and monitoring Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and ensuring appropriate instructional and support interventions for students with diverse needs.
The position involves conducting psychological assessments, providing counseling and consultation, collaborating with teachers and families, and participating in multidisciplinary team meetings. The Supervisor of Special Services/School Psychologist also supports staff training, promotes best practices in special education, and works to maintain high levels of service quality and family satisfaction.
- Demonstrated supervisory skills, including the ability to lead, support, and evaluate staff in special services programs.
- Experience and commitment to customer service and customer satisfaction when working with students, families, and community partners.
- Ability to design and deliver training for educators and support staff on special education procedures, interventions, and compliance.
- Strong communication skills, including clear written documentation, effective collaboration, and professional presentation abilities.
- Relevant certification or licensure as a School Psychologist and/or Supervisor of Special Services as required by New Jersey regulations.
- Experience conducting psychological assessments, developing IEPs, and implementing evidence-based interventions for students with special needs.
- Knowledge of special education laws and regulations, including IDEA and Section 504.
- Master's or higher degree in School Psychology, Special Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field.
- Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams and maintain confidentiality and ethical standards.
