Base pay range

$60.00/yr - $70.00/yr

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Grant Accountant with 2–3 years of governmental accounting experience to support the financial management and compliance of federal and state grants
. This role is responsible for ensuring grant funds are properly accounted for, expenditures are allowable, and reporting requirements are met in accordance with applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting and financial reporting for federal and state grants
• Monitor grant budgets to ensure compliance with funding restrictions and allowable costs
• Prepare and submit required grant financial reports and reimbursement requests
• Review and reconcile grant expenditures to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Assist with grant setup, budget tracking, and closeout activities
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, including Uniform Guidance (2 CFR Part 200)
• Support audits related to grants, including preparation of schedules and supporting documentation
• Collaborate with program managers and finance teams to resolve grant-related issues
• Maintain accurate grant records and documentation

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is a plus
• 2–3 years of accounting experience in a governmental or public sector environment
• Hands-on experience with federal and state grants
• Knowledge of grant compliance requirements and reporting standards
• Familiarity with governmental accounting principles and fund accounting
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with grant management or governmental accounting systems
• Exposure to audit processes related to grants
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
