Are you a relationship-driven logistics professional who also enjoys the hunt for new business? New Age Logistics is seeking a Strategic Account Manager (SAM) who can balance growing existing key accounts with actively prospecting and developing new strategic customers. This is a high-visibility role working closely with executive leadership, ideal for someone who thrives in a mix of strategy, relationship management, and outbound business development.

As a Strategic Account Manager, you’ll own both account growth and new customer acquisition, acting as a trusted advisor internally and externally.

Job Duties
  • Serve as the primary liaison for assigned strategic accounts
  • Develop, implement, and lead customized account strategies aligned to each customer’s business objectives
  • Grow account revenue, manage pipelines, and maintain or exceed assigned quotas
  • Create and execute strategic account plans to support long-term account health and expansion
  • Establish and grow relationships at all levels, including executive and C‑suite stakeholders
  • Proactively prospect new customers through outbound efforts such as email outreach, cold calling, networking, and relationship referrals
  • Identify and pursue new strategic customer opportunities aligned with New Age Logistics’ growth objectives
  • Build a strong pipeline of prospective accounts and convert them into long‑term partnerships
  • Collaborate directly with the President of New Age Logistics on account strategy and business development initiatives
  • Partner with internal teams (sales, operations, leadership) to deliver solutions that drive customer value
  • Collaborate with leadership on pricing trends, market dynamics, and unique customer challenges
  • Own the success of each engagement and ensure high levels of client satisfaction
  • Monitor KPIs, volume trends, and account performance metrics
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, forecasts, and performance insights
  • Communicate changes in volume, performance, and opportunities clearly to stakeholders
  • Approximately 70–80% customer‑facing (existing clients and prospects)
  • 20–30% internal strategy, planning, and project management
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2–5+ years of 3PL/brokerage logistics sales and operations experience
  • Experience managing clients
  • Strong customer sales ability and management of key accounts
  • 1–3 years of project management experience
  • Experience using CRM software (e.g., Salesforce)
  • Strong computer skills and technically savvy
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office with an emphasis in Excel
  • High degree of accountability and persistence
  • Strong sense of urgency
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Data analysis skills
  • Team player
  • Ability to efficiently pivot from one task to another throughout the day
  • Eager to learn and open to different methods of execution
  • Strong time‑management and prioritization skills
  • Effective negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Travel is required based on operational and customer needs
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or related field
  • Bilingual, English/Spanish
  • PMP Certification
