We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team, specializing in commercial construction projects such as convenience stores, quick‑service restaurants (QSRs), and retail spaces. The ideal candidate will prepare accurate cost estimates, manage bid proposals, and cultivate strong relationships with subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing and quality execution.
Responsibilities- Review project plans and specifications to develop detailed cost estimates for convenience stores, QSRs, and retail/commercial builds.
- Analyze labor, material, and subcontractor requirements for each project.
- Prepare and present bid proposals, ensuring alignment with client budgets and project goals.
- Build and maintain strong connections with subcontractors by managing a qualified database, soliciting bids, and negotiating competitive pricing.
- Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure scope and pricing accuracy.
- Stay current on market pricing, industry trends, and vendor relationships.
- Must be located in Florida.
- Minimum of 5 years of estimating experience in commercial construction.
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of construction processes for retail and QSR projects.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Skills & Qualifications
- Must have relations with subcontractors.
- Must have experience with commercial ground‑up projects.
The role involves working in a dynamic environment where you will engage with various stakeholders including subcontractors and clients. You will need to be proficient in using estimating software and the Microsoft Office Suite. The position offers a bonus of 1.5% on projects won and completed up to $120,000.
Job Type & LocationPermanent position based out of Lakeland, FL.
Pay and BenefitsPay range: $80,000.00 – $ per year.
