High School Bible Teacher - Part time

Lakeland Christian School is seeking an experienced Bible teacher to join a dynamic high school faculty “sharpening minds and shepherding hearts.” The ideal candidate will have:
1) a strong thematic knowledge of the Old and New Testament,
2) skill in the application of Scripture to Middle School student life and current cultural issues, and
3) a keen interest in developing an active learning environment

• Be a born‑again believer, maintaining a testimony that is above reproach
• Active in local, evangelical church
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field
• Have a strong thematic knowledge of the Old and New Testament
• Skill in the application of Scripture to High School student life and current cultural issues
• Keen interest in developing an active learning environment
• Valid ACSI and Florida teaching certificate
• Exhibit the gift of teaching and personality that lends to effective instruction in the classroom, and positive relations with colleagues, administrators, and students
• Demonstrate a commitment to Christian education
• Be in agreement with the Lakeland Christian School Statement of Faith and staff qualifications
