Waxing the City – Lakeland is a locally owned studio within a national brand, built on quality, consistency, and care. We are seeking licensed estheticians or cosmetologists who love waxing, enjoy working with people, and are committed to delivering services according to our training, techniques, and standards.

As a Cerologist™, you will provide high‑quality waxing services, build long‑term client relationships, and contribute to a positive, professional team culture.

Important:
Prior waxing experience is welcomed—but all Cerologists, regardless of background or experience, are required to learn, follow, and consistently execute Waxing the City’s techniques, timing expectations, and service standards. Coachability and alignment with our approach are essential for success in this role.

• Perform waxing services in accordance with Waxing the City training, protocols, and quality standards.
• Demonstrate openness to learning new techniques and refining skills through ongoing coaching and education.
• Conduct thorough consultations and follow up to ensure client comfort, safety, and excellent results.
• Maintain clean, stocked, and professional treatment rooms.
• Educate clients on services, aftercare, retail products, and membership options.
• Support client retention through rebooking and relationship‑building.
• Participate in studio marketing efforts, including social media and community events.
• Follow all sanitation, safety, and operational procedures without exception.
• Show up prepared, on time, and ready to contribute to a team‑first environment.
• Receive feedback professionally and apply it consistently.

• Current Florida Esthetician or Cosmetologist license (required)
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Strong work ethic and genuine passion for waxing and client care
• Coachability and willingness to follow established techniques, protocols, and training—especially for experienced waxers
• Clear, confident communication with clients and teammates
• Comfort recommending services, enhancements, products, and memberships
• Motivation to build and retain a loyal book of business
• Dependable, respectful, and accountable
• Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high‑quality results
• Commitment to a professional, respectful, and drama‑free workplace
